This program features an excerpt from “Electric Haiku: Calm as Custard”, a full-evening, multidisciplinary performance work that partners live dance with video, light, text, and sound extending the limitations of physical movement into new realms of expression through the integration of technology with the body. “Electric Haiku: Calm as a Custard” is the second work in Weis’ Electric Haiku series. The first work in the series, “Electric Haiku” was named by The New York Times as one of the top ten dance events of 2002 in year-in-review edition.
