Alive & Kicking Program #68 – Sally Silvers – Choreographer Sally Silvers has been creating wildly inventive post modern dance for over 20 years. She is noted for a movement vocabulary that is both quirky and highly inventive. This two part series focuses on Silvers’ “Struck Me Lightning” a group work that looks at the physical behavior of nuns and cyborgs. Recorded at P.S. 122 in New York City in February 2002, the program includes excerpts from Part 1 of “Struck by Lightning” – the “nun” section. Sally Silvers’ work is highly original and humorous.
