Let’s Make a Video A Digital Video Movie-Making Class for Grades 3-12 Taught by Performing & Video Artist Charles Dennis “Let’s Make A Video” is an exciting, fun and rewarding program offered by nationally recognized inter-disciplinary artist Charles Dennis. In this one week program for students in grades 3-12 students conceive, write and produce an original short movie on video. Students operate the video equipment, perform as the actors in the film and help to edit it. Charles Dennis provides all the video equipment needed including 2 digital camcorders, videotapes and a portable laptop computer for editing. The class concludes with a screening of the completed work and students receive dvd copies of their work. Charles Dennis has been a teaching artist for over 30 years. He has conducted residencies in dance, theater and video in numerous schools and colleges for organizations like Arts Connection, Inc., The Gifted & Talented Development Center in Bronxville, NY, Lincoln Center Institute, NYC Public Schools and The Caroline Street Elementary School in Saratoga Springs, NY. |
